For all non-certified (without a valid Texas Teacher's Certification) substitute teacher applicants, our district requires an online substitute-training module called STEDI. It is an 8-hour training module that must be completed before becoming a substitute for CISD. It is a one-time training, a certificate issued upon completion. STEDI TRAINING is $39.95.
A copy of the STEDI certificate must be provided to Cleburne ISD.
In order to be considered for a substitute position, you will need to complete the online application.
Please gather paperwork in advance (diplomas, transcripts, etc).
A Background Check Must Be Completed Prior To Purchasing STEDI Training.
Do not purchase training courses until your background check is cleared & an email from HR with instructions has been sent.
Steps To Complete Training
- Go to STEDI.org
- Select Purchase Courses
- Select one of the SubSkills Online Training & Add to Cart. You may choose to Continue Shopping and add other training items to your cart (optional)
- Review your order and click Proceed to Checkout
Please complete the requested information and remember to choose Cleburne Independent School District as your District. Be sure to read the Terms and Conditions and check the box to confirm you have done so. Once you finalize your transaction, you will be able to immediately begin your 8-hour training by clicking “Go To Course.”
You may come and go as you please by clicking “Course Login” from the STEDI.org homepage.
When you have completed the training and achieved the required 85% composite score on your SubAssessments, a SubDiploma will be available to print and bring to the district office.
In compliance with Senate Bill 9, all substitutes in Texas schools must be fingerprinted. The cost is $50.00 incurred by the substitute prior to beginning employment. You will be provided fingerprinting information once you have met with us. After you have been fingerprinted and we have received a cleared report through local and federal agencies, your information will be entered into our HR, payroll, and AESOP Attendance. You will be contacted when you are cleared to begin work.
