Superintendent

Dr. Coby Kirkpatrick has served as Superintendent of Cleburne Independent School
District since 2023. He brings more than 30 years of experience in public education,
having served as a teacher, athletic trainer, assistant principal, principal, and central
administration leader in North Texas school districts.
Before joining Cleburne ISD, Dr. Kirkpatrick served as Chief of Schools and in several
leadership roles with Burleson ISD. Throughout his career, he has focused on student
achievement, school safety, innovative educational opportunities, and strong
partnerships with students, families, staff, and the community.
Dr. Kirkpatrick earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Tarleton
State University, as well as a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Tarleton
and a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University. He holds Texas certifications
as a Superintendent and Principal.
Dr. Kirkpatrick is an active member of the Cleburne community through organizations
including the Cleburne Rotary Club and the Texas Association of School Administrators.
Outside of education, Dr. Kirkpatrick enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and
their children, Callaway and Kadyn. He is also the proud grandfather of four
granddaughters: Claire, 11; Charlotte, 5; Caroline, 2; and Harper, 10 months.
