Free SAT/ACT Testing for Juniors

Hello CISD Parents & Students!
Now is such an exciting time to be a Yellowjacket! Students at CHS have access to so many college & career readiness opportunities including innovative, high demand CTE pathways, ever expanding advanced academics offerings & now, starting in the 2019-2020 school year, 11th grade students at CHS have the opportunity to take the SAT or the ACT for free during the school day right here at CHS!

Juniors have the option to take the ACT school Day on March 24th, 2020 or the SAT School Day on March 25th, 2020 during the day at Cleburne High School at no cost to the student!  Students will register for the test they'd like to take via a Google Form during their English class.

Any student considering college in their future should sign up to take either the ACT School Day or the SAT School Day here at CHS. Here's why:

1. Colleges & universities want to see either an ACT or SAT score for admissions & financial aid purposes. Even though some colleges are no longer requiring either test, most still do & many scholarship opportunities continue to look at college entrance exam scores for awarding funds.

2. Both ACT & College Board recommend that students test in either the ACT or SAT in the Spring semester of their 11th grade year. The information tested in both tests is generally covered in curriculum by the Spring semester of the 11th grade year so it's fresh on the minds of 11th grade students, meaning higher test scores!

3.SAT & ACT scores are good for five years so, even if college is not in a student's immediate future, taking either test means retaining scores for the future!
